[England] :
Lucy May Schofield,
2002-2005.
4 items ;
each 18 x 5 cm, folded to 4 x 5 cm, in glassine envelopes 5 x 5 cm.
"First created in 2002 Perforated Love Notes were born from a frustration at not being able to articulate my feelings for others and all too easily letting go of those prime opportunities to give a compliment. Originally made in an edition of 500 on a photocopier and sewing machine (for perforations), they went on to be printed offset litho in editions of 1000 each in 2005 and sold in 5 countries."--Artist's statement.
Each of the four small booklets comprise a folded and perforated strip bearing 8 printed sentiments.
"A small concertina booklet of love sentiments, separated by perforations; to be torn off and placed in the pockets, under the pillows and in the hands of the ones who you sometimes forget to tell how you feel."-- Artists' book yearbook.
"Hand finished and printed in UK."--Cover.
