Autograph letter, signed, from W.B. Taylor to his brother Charles Taylor, dated March 31st, 1854. The author is clearly young, and the letter is written in a large bold hand. Enclosed with it is the author's watercolor depiction of the Union Jack. The letter reads: “Dear Charley, I send you a flag to show you how I can paint them. I am quite well and am staying at Norwood. Cousin Emily is here too and we have had nice walks in the fields with Aunt Rosa. With love to Edward and a love and kiss to your self. Believe me your affect. brother, W.B. Taylor.” It is dated March 31st 1854, and comes with the original postmarked envelope addressed to Charles, at Miss Borrow's, High Street, Hastings (the original postage stamp is now lacking).
