The appendix mentioned in the title was written by Edward Christian, in defence of his brother Fletcher Christian, the leader of the mutiny on the Bounty. Bligh in his 'Answer' collected evidence in his own favor in the form of letters, affidavits, and other documents. In document 5 Bligh describes the physical traits and distinguishing marks of each of the mutineers.
