Contains 100 hand-colored aquatint plates: 59 after drawings by C. Wild, 25 after J. Stephanoff, 9 after R. Cattermole, 6 after W. Westall, and 1 after G. Samuel; 36 are engraved by T. Sutherland, 23 by W.J. Bennett, 28 by R. Reeve, 11 by D. Havell, and 2 by J. Bailey.

BAC: British Art Center copy 1 is Abbey copy Scenery 396. Bound in red half morocco. Armorial bookplates: Viscount Cungarvan; Malacrida. Bound in at the end of volume 1 are the wrappers for parts 13-16, inclusive.
BAC: British Art Center copy 2 is Abbey copy Scenery 397. Illustrations are uncolored. Bound in contemporary purple cloth with roan labels on the spine with title: Pyne's Royal Residences. Binding can be no earlier than 1827 the date of the introduction of binder's cloth. Abbey dates this binding from about 1835. Probably sheets and plates are remainders. Watermarks are early, dating from 1811 in the text and up to and not later than 1818 for the plates. Some plates have the sky printed in blue.
BAC: British Art Center copy 3 bound in later red half morocco and red cloth. At the end of volume III is a 13 page "List of Portraits" and the list of plates.

Includes a duplicate plate of the Chapel at Hampton Court Palace, in part 23. Wrapper to part vi in facsimile.
