BAC : British Art Center has 4 copies of this work. Copy 1 issued in 10 paper portfolios, entitled Roberts' sketches in Egypt & Nubia; advertisement on verso of cover to final portfolio dated Dec. 15, 1853. Copy 2 (in a case, 68 cm.) issued in 13 cloth portfolios, with titles as in copy 1. Copies 3 and 4 bound in 3 volumes and possibly issued as complete sets in 1849 when part publication was completed.
BAC : In copy 2 a printed notice, "Extract of a letter lately received by the publisher from Dr. Robinson" has been slipped in at the beginning
BAC : In copies 1 and 4, the t.-p. to the second volume is printed as vol. 5; the figure 5 has been scraped out in copies 2 and 3.
BAC : Copies 2 and 3 have all illustrative matter mounted in plate form, with added coloring by hand.
