"October 1, 1783. The publisher submits the following proposals to the consideration of the publick, and omits saying any thing relative to the execution of the work, as he is determined no exertions shall be wanting on his part to render it worthy their patronage and approbation."
"Conditions. This work to be published in numbers, each containing four plates, with descriptive accounts in letter-press ... The size of the plates will be eight by six inches and a quarter, the same size as the publication of The seats of the nobility, &c. by W. Watts. The work to be comprized in twenty-five numbers, one to be published every three months, price five shillings ... Subscriptions are received by the publisher, S. Middiman, No. 3, Grafton-Street, Tottenham-Court-Road, where three of the plates may be seen; likewise at Mr. Watts's, Kemp's-Row, near Ranelagh-Walk Chelsea. A list of subscribers will be printed. Early subscribers will be printed."
